The reflected light meter reading can be modified in camera by the matrix algorithms.

The RGB meter is not modified by the matrix algorithms. The data it collects simply adds to a different exposure solution than the other metering modes due to the matrix algorithms/program applied to the same data it provides to the other metering modes. The signal/data the RGB meter sends does not change with metering mode. How it's applied will differ though

I see no point in continuing this largely irrelevant to practical photography discussion.

Just pointing out so there is less misinformation...Matrix metering doesn't apply EC.

You can modify a reflected light meter reading either by using the exposure compensation button,

The data/info/signal/reading the RGB meter puts out is not altered by EC. It sends the same info regardless of EC setting. The RGB meter reading is the the same at any EC setting. Just because you set an EC of +2...that does not change what the RGB meter measures or reports.

I guess you also mean that the meter does not care if you are measuring for 110 film or a smartphone or for DX or for FX: f/2.8 is f/2.8 :-J
