tho I think the OP might be looking for something else.

No, it's like this:

1. Original videos filmed in 60i.

2. Edited and rendered but incorrectly at 30p (results in upper and lower fields displayed simultaneously, giving the combing effect)

3. After rendering, the original 60i video files are deleted, no longer available for rerendering.

4. Now in order to rescue the edited video the person would like to re-interlace it back from 30p to 60i, to separate the upper and lower fields again

That's what I believe the challenge is
