If you need better performance then, yes, go for UHS-II V90 that M6 Mark II supports.

(For my use-cases with M6 Mark II, the UHS-I V30 card above is fast enough.)

That's the problem. I don't know whether I need faster.

I shoot mostly portraits and landscapes with my M6 Mark II, taking advantage of the higher pixel resolution.

I occasionally photograph birds and animals at far distances. For such cases, I use a pair of Sony G Tough cards (UHS-II, 300MB/s read, 299MB/s write) on my Panasonic G9 with Leica 100-400mm (200-800mm equivalent) zoom lens. I sometimes feel my very expensive Sony cards are an “overkill.” Do I really need them, for my typical scenarios? I doubt it. But, hey, as they say, “have it and don’t need it” is better than “need it but don’t have it” — absolute consumerist capitalism, eh?

I suggest you buy a small-capacity USH-I card (cheap) and try it with your most demanding scenarios. You will then know better which way to go for the “real” card — the “test” card will become a backup card.

Good luck with your choice.
