1st: subject is barely noticeable among other distractions

It is a lifestyle portrait and was published in the biggest Surfgirl magazine in the world and in Fujixpassion magazine aswell. Out of 20 years of photographing thousands of portraits its one of my favourites. It's different, moody, captures real world surf culture etc.

2nd: better, but being a back not a face, the subject is still an adjunct to the background

3rd: flat light on her face gives little modeling to her features

4th: pow! contrast of the highlights in her eyes in the darker surround draws attention and establishes communication with the viewer. light also models and defines/illustrates her features

5th: ?? looks like she's lining up to kick the haybale

6th: gives a good sense of her as a surfer. nice smile

They are all well done if they meet your clients needs.
when you post here asking for C&C you’re going to get feedback from all sorts of people. You knew your photos are really good, so instead of asking for C&C I’d suggest simply sharing for others to appreciate.

I really like them. Nicely done.
