Correct. If one routinely underexposes their images and tries to rescue them in post (under the mistaken notion that ISO causes noise), or routinely shoots in challenging light (not necessarily low light), trying to rescue shadows can make a mess of RP images. - bold added

It's one of my pet peeve as DPR push this ISO invariant thing in the banner of protecting the highlight, while talking about ETTR to over expose beyond JPEG saturation because the RAW file is not clipped yet.

Shooting high ISO, low light, it performs well. ETTR and recovering highlights, I’ve not had an issue with.
