Re: TG-6 cosistenly overexposus

Different needs, different cameras. No surprise.

Recall that my intro to the TG-6, or any ruggedized camera, was when the old Sureshot went for a swim. I wish the TG-6 had been what Chris wanted. It wasn't - life in the market place.

The Lumix isn't rugged, I'll hoot and holler about "remember what happened in Shark Creek, and what this rascal costs". Totally ensure no bad end? Hah! You haven't met my wife. Improve the odds of survival? Meh, OK, I guess.

At this point, we're mostly land people. We sold the boat, we own a VW Vanagon camper (like it very much, thanks). We're gearing up for our next major trip. The last trip covered about 12,000 miles, we're guessing more like 15k this time. All out of water. "Wet" won't be the major worry here.

Dust will be a concern, though. WHY CAN'T CAMERA MAKERS MAKE AT LEAST DUST-TIGHT CAMERAS?!? [end of vein-bulging rant] I wrote off a Fujifilm X-S1 due to serious dust intrusion, poor repair options, and high cost of repair. Too bad, as I generally liked the camera (happier with RX-10 IV). The US Southwest is D U S T Y, so I'm somewhat rolling the dice that dust won't get to the Lumix.
