Thanks, Sherm. If I could get a good denoise program for my iPad I would do that. As you know, birds don’t usually let you get real close, at least not large ones. What de-noise program do you recommend?

Guys, just a gentle reminder: to my mind, first prize will always be to AVOID noise through proper exposure. For me, removing noise after the event will always be a second, much less desirable option. FWIW I almost never apply noise reduction in PP. Under the conditions that these photographs were taken, serious noise reduction should absolutely not have been necessary.

Yes avoid noise but not possible in many circumstances especially when there's no time to fiddle. Also depends how much noise an individual can tolerate.
