Internal clock battery risks?

A close look at the motherboard image shows the battery at the lower left shows the battery being held in place by a metal tab. I suspect battery replacement — once the battery and its holder are exposed, of course — is simply a matter of sliding the old battery out from under that metal tab, then sliding the new one in.
