Sun-spotty day...

I've been checking out this sunspot group for a couple of days after it sneaked around
from the limb. Today it was central enough to try for a pic. This is a 100% crop of the
original in a 1200x 800 px frame.

The trouble is, I don't know if the mottling is due to artifacts or to actual billowing, but the detail in the spots themselves make me hope for the latter. Maybe somebody can shine a torch on this question...

Sunspot group 2836 (upper) and 2835 (larger) - and bonus "sun-hare"...

Sigma 50-500 + 2X converter, 1000 OAKS N.D 5 solar filter.

This is a S hemisphere view.
