I sometimes get the inverse artifact (white halos around dark objects) on my HDR photos (different software) when I use certain tone mapping methods. My fix is to try a different tone mapping method - my software gives me several to choose from.

I installed Hadegecam 2 on my phone - cool app. I see several tone mapping options under Settings > Photo settings > HDR > Tone mapping. Selecting a different tone mapping method may help for bright white objects with a blue sky background. Different methods work better/worse for different scenes.
