Rainbow Curve

Kathleen and I were driving down on Trail Ridge Road in a driving rain storm toward Estas Park. When we reached a spot called Rainbow Cruve the storm stopped and the sun came throng the clouds. To our amazement a rainbow formed in the valley below the road. I pulled over and before I totally stopped the car Kathleen was out the door with her camera, I quickly followed. I grabbed a handful of shots before the rainbow disappeared, it lasted about 2 minutes. I have never looked down on a rainbow before. Shots made with the SD1 Merrill and the 24 to 70 DG lens,
Here is Kathleen shooting down the road from my position. The rainbow is starting to dissipate as she is shooting, A minute of so later it was gone. That was quite a gift and a reason to always have your camera with you and ready!

Enjoy!
