I was in a similar place a while ago and what I did might help you.

I kept the 16-55 brick as I use it for so many other things.  For wider I brought the Samyang/Rokinon 12mm which is tiny and can also be used (if a little carefully) for other things.

For telephoto I use the 50-140 with 1.4x tele converter.  I am happy enough carrying this weight.  If I was hiking up mountains it would be different.
