In order to give an air of suspense and anticipation, I shall not give a title to this post.

HARLEQUIN LADYBIRD LARVA

Harlequin ladybird (quoting from the internet).

The harlequin ladybird, became established in the UK in 2004 and is now widespread.

The harlequin ladybird is one of about 40 species of ladybird found in Britain and Ireland. Like many other ladybirds it is predatory. It has a preference to feed on aphids but will feed on other insects. The Harlequins are also known to be quite cannibalistic, so never invite them around for tea.

Canon M6MkII: With 18-150. Most of these were also shot with extension tubes and the Raynox M-250 attached: Then stacked in DPP and hence no EXIF. Finalised in PaintShop Pro.

The first of my Osteospermum bursts forth into the universe.

Once again a selection of focus stacked images in DPP

My Marigolds seem to attract the fly. They do not take off at the approach of my camera.

Top tip of a Lupin.

Must have measured all of 4mm. Well, maybe 5mm.

Same guy viewed from the other side of the Agapanthus soon to bloom. He said “This is my best side.” His English was impeccable.
