Excellent.
Which is my preference?
The Pagodas create an exotic vision that is very difficult to beat; I would like to go there. Yet, each of the filters are good ‘looks’ I believe the themes and objects will determine new favorites.
You are totally right; one style is not better than the other one.
However, one style (the Pink Retro look, for example) might be more _appropriate_ to a specific subject.
So choosing the most appropriate IR style is like selecting the right lens to use.
A calendar of classic autos and motorcycles would be wild with your retro look.
Don’t expect the colour of cars and motorcycles to be realistic. But among all the ones that you’ll take photos of, some might reveal themselves to be better than the original.
Now the big question.... What about varying flesh tones? Hhhmmm.... Maybe the guy who shone the flashlight onto the plant has a good idea?
Ah! Flesh tones.
Normally, ‘white’ people have an orange skin tone. In CYMK mode, the magenta and yellow channels are about the same, while the cyan channel changes according to the tan; a baby has low cyan value and an adult who stays all day long under the sun will have cyan value about the same as the magenta and yellow channels.
Up to now, I’ve just taken just two photos of people, both under ‘Improved’ Candy Pink IR Photography. The photo below is one of them.
Under this IR style, skin tone is too magenta and not yellow enough to look realistic… if realism is the goal.
To give you an example, this is a photo of two young women visiting Montréal. The animals in front of them were the only things really pink in the frame.

Finally, andy1712, I really appreciate the time taken by you to evaluate the different IR photography styles.
Thanks a lot!
