But you're still not showing the full picture. Show a typical manual focus lens on the SLR, for instance i frequently used a 28-50 or 28-70 zoom. Then show a typical lens on the DSLR which would probably be a 24-70 f2.8 AF with image stabilization. A small film camera with a scrawny little manual focus lens is a lot different from a DSLR with a big fat heavy pig of a lens on it.

...and the DSLR is usually a fat heavy pig as well.
