Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8-4

Since Canon EF has been in the game longer than most electronic mounts, they have a good selection especially from Sigma which offer both long and relatively fast ranges. One of the lenses I've aquired the 28-105mm was just what I needed for event shooting. However since I mounted it on a Sony there have been complications:

1) I cannot shoot at smaller apertures, one way around this was using aperture priority mode for outdoors with the lens wide open, which served me well

2) Originally a Canon mirrorless user, with the Sony the images aren't as pleasing indoors, but work with moderate lighting. The EOS M was better in lower light, shooting clean images with a f/4.5 lens at night

3) AF does not work on mirrorless, it worked on a DSLR once but I guess it has a different AF system/motor

Either way it's a good all around lens and I wish manufacturers would make something like it.
