Re: How to photograph invisible part of the moon?

Around new moon in April and May is the best time, about 2-3 days after new moon for an earthshine moon after sunset (or before new moon before sunset). At that time of the year the young moon is high in the sky meaning it is much longer visible after sunset and cloudcover, that reflects the suns light, is higher. Also the air is clearer as you will be photographing the moon closer to the horizon. Being on a hill or mountain also helps with a clearer view.
