Puzzling ColorChecker images
1

While shooting butterflies in our back yard, I wanted to gauge the color reproduction of the blue mistflowers that they were feeding on. So I had my wife hold the ColorChecker Passport next to the flowers and took a couple of shots. The result is puzzling. I used the WB eyedropper in LR6 to set the color temperature based on image 8687 then adjusted the color temperature to the same value for the other image, 5600K. In 8686, several of the color patches in image 8686 appear to be wildly off. In particular, light skin, blue flower, bluish green, yellow green, yellow. Essentially no difference if I reverse the process. The differences make no sense to me. The images were taken only about 40 sec apart.

Equipment was a 18-200mm kit lens on old D300S.
