The A9 in electronic shutter has a lot faster sensor readout than what the A7R4 has so if you are panning at the same pace with the same shutter speed the R4 shots will result in more "rolling shutter" effect than the A9's.

Sorry for not clarifying in advance:

A9 I have NO "rolling shutter" problems, but it seems to adopt a certain off-horizon tilt, handheld, but to correct it is not a gentle process. I have to over correct and wait until it lets off.

A7Riv in static mode, even on a tripod, at high shutter speeds (min.SS 2000) in a burst, will yield at least one skewed photo. I do shoot this way, leaning my front hand on the tripod, to obtain maximum stability, and in this mater, it doesn't do worse handheld, but doesn't do better.
