Transfocal PSFs for the GF 110 and GF 80

I'm playing with plotting the point spread function for the GF lenses as they are focused and defocused. I'm using the PSF data returned by MTF Mapper, which I don't understand very well (can you help me out here, Jack? What are the units of distance that the 256 points perpendicular to the focal plane represent?)

Anyhow, here are a couple of images I found interesting, with the GF 110 and the GF 80, both wide open.

80 at f/1.7

110 at f/2

Focus distance runs from top to bottom, with front-focused at the top and back-focused at the bottom. The colors are highly approximate; I just assigned the raw channels to their respective sRGB channels. The weirdness at the bottom of the 110 image is a focus bracketing glitch. I'm not sure what the units are from side to side; that's what I asked Jack about.

The LoCA of the 80 is apparent.

Anybody want to see more of these?
