Those are the only times where an LCD is better. From a purely technical POV, not personal preference, an EVF is a better more practical way to use a camera.

For a start, I never use an EVF because my cameras don't have them.

But as soon as the camera is on a tripod - which may be rare or frequent - the LCD is usually better than any VF.

My cameras don't have fully articulating screens but for those that do the LCD can beat the VF in a range of situations.
