Is the Pentax 16-45 the best lens ever?
4

Might be for me, running around taking pix for stories in our small town paper. If we define 'best lens' as the one that just somehow ends up on your DSLR almost all the time — the 16-45 is it for me. Because 'Best' doesn't necessarily imply superior optical quality. Other factors, like day-to-day usefulness, are more important.

And of course different for each of us. That 16-45 for me... but what for you? What’s your Best Lens, and why? The 18-135, perfect for so many situations? Or one of the primes, fast, sharp, and lightweight? Am curious what you'll come up with. And feel free to insult each other’s choices, even though that's silly since our situations are all different. But it's fun!
