I'll definitely try my LCD more.

Just an added thought.

Naturally in my old age I graduated to bi-focal lenses in my glasses, so that works perfectly well for using the screen. Now even older I use tri-focal lenses and all still good using the near focus bottom zone. For binoculars or EVF I would use the distant zone of the lens so the dioptre correction stays near 0.

At one stage early on my usual glasses to correct my short-sightedness were accompanied by a another pair for reading and close work. That was a total pain to keep swapping glasses so the bi-focals made life way easier.

Some people don't need far sight correction but as eyes age the close focus fails so those odd looking half frame glasses fix that, and make people look more nerdy or even more intelligent.
