Re: My Asus drive got lost in shipping from amazon

When I built a new PC a year ago I just stuck in a Bluray recorder instead of just a DVD burner. Mostly no problem, but I have found at least one video disk I made (MP4 I think) that simply refuses to play on that drive, even though it works fine on regular DVD drives/burners in other PC's.

Not sure if that's a warning or just some bug I haven't pinned down. Just throwing it out there that bluray drives are a choice, and they are a lot cheaper now than a few years ago.

Otherwise, just shell out $20 for a generic DVD burner. If you're worried about reliability long term, buy a spare. It's only about $20, after all.

oh well...will have to try again.

Thanks for your input.
