CIC 219: Hot or Cold

The hot weather worldwide has been in the recent news – and man has been trying to stay cool.

So take pictures that imply or show “Hot” or “Cold”. Fire is hot; ice is cold. But hot or cold can be more than temperature. A person’s look can be cold, or hot. A new sport car can be hot. Sunsets are warm; think of the cool night air.

And to help the viewer feel this, use warm or cool light to get your point across. Warm light tends to the reds and yellows, cool toward the blue. Even just changing the white balance can change the look.

Now, go out and have fun, and be creative.
