MFT lens dropped in water - what next?

While out photographing this evening I dropped my Panasonic 45-200mm lens and it rolled down a short slope into very slow moving silty fresh water. It was fully submerged (maybe 10cm at the deepest) point for at most 2 minutes (probably less) before I could retrieve it. The lens cap was attached, the back cap wasn't. Given the amount of air bubbles water got a long way in, but not everywhere.

I put it in an empty plastic bag to bring it back to where I'm staying and since about half-three quarters of an hour after I dropped it it has been sat on a draining board, mount end down, drying. I've not attempted to attach it to the camera.

What should I do next? I'm away from home for a couple of days.
