Tsunakakeiwa Rock, Seto-nai-kai (Seto Inland Sea), Shikoku

This is Tsunakakeiwa Rock with a big rope on it and a torii on top in June 2014. It is along the coast of the Seto-nai-kai (Seto Inland Sea), Shikoku. The tradition of hanging a rope on the rock and the torii on top dates back 1200 years. It is supposed to protect ships and help them avoid rough seas. I was back in that area a few days ago and took a few photos. Different light this time.
