Scaly breasted in natural light

I was doing other things when I noticed a scaly breasted lorikeet eating at the feed tray. This happens all day long but this time the light was special. I opened the screen doors and set up the 5Ds Sigma 120-300 with 1.4 extender and a 31mm extension tube. By this time the bird had moved to a different feed tray. Fortunately I happened to know this particular bird and a bit of fresh seed and a simple sincere request brought him back to the original tray.

I have taken hundreds if not thousands of photos of these birds at the feed trays on the deck of my granny flat. Occasional the light is right and I get some images that I am pleased with. Hope you like them.

I concentrated on the eye. Only PP was cropping.
