Flash question for 80D or 90D owners
1

I've been thinking about getting one of these cameras in the nearish future, and am wondering if an issue I've run into with my M50 also exists in the newer Canon DSLRs.

When shooting with manual focus and manual exposure, and an external TTL capable flash (any TTL capable flash, though I'm particularly interested in the Godox TT350) set to manual mode does:

1. the shutter release immediately when you you fully press the button?

and

2. in continuous mode, can you shoot at the normal maximum (7 or 10fps, I think?) that the camera is capable of?

I'm asking because the M50, even with everything in full manual, still tries to do some kind of metering/communication with the flash that drops the burst rate down to like ~1-2fps. Taping over the communication pins lets it work properly at 10fps, but then flash sleep/wake doesn't work properly, and you can't do second curtain sync.
