Seascape: A magical night, bioluminescent algae
15

Last night I photographed bioluminescent algae (Noctiluca scintillans) for the first time. It was truly magical, the blue light created by the algea is simply stunning and great fun to photograph. I was shooting from sunset until almost sunrise and simply couldn't stop.

I have seen this before in Asia during travel, but never realized this can be experienced as well in summertime on my own backyard (within a hour drive from my home).

These photos are taken at the North sea beach near Domburg in The Netherlands.

I can´t wait to go back another night, I have some great photo idea´s to try out. Night photography is soo much fun..

I hope you like my pictures, feel free to share any comments.
