I don't think it is manufactured in a Sony fab. There's no evidence it is and there's no reason for Canon to use inferior pixel designs from their competitor. There are a dozen manufacturers who can do all or part of BSI processing. It's mature.

If I had to guess I'd say the pixel wafer is manufactured by Canon, the readout wafer is designed by Canon and manufactured by one of many good analog friendly fabs and then the stacking is done by the same partner or yet another party.

I've personally watched the thinning and stacking process of said wafers at multiple (fairly generic) fabs starting 8 years ago.
