Re: CANON EF-M 28MM repair

I sent my to Canon; I hope they will send it back quickly:) I only repaired one lens by Sigma 10 years ago — they did it free of charge even it was my fault, and my warranty was already run out ( I felt with the camera and the lens block in half:)) I wish that Canon would be as awesome, but .... :))

Had EF-M 22mm, bought from eGlobalCentral - arrived very soft at any aperture from day one.

Sent it in to the official Canon Service Center for paid calibration, due to expensive return shipping to HK from where I live, but then was told that they don't repair these lenses - they get swapped out.

Tough call, but 100 US$ later the lens arrived and worked flawlessly since.

Of course with the 28mm, it may be different - sorry, no experience there.
