It looks like the Minolta A mount and photographic DNA has finally reached the end of the road.

A-mount isn't dead by a long shot! As long as Sony provides native e-mount adapters, these fine lenses will continue to be used by protographers the world over. Sony has produced many fine A-mount lenese with SSM and even screw drive auto focus. Mirrorless cameras allow us to use just about any lens produced in the last 80 years on the new cameras. This opens a whole new world to the hobbist. The coming A7IV will allow all of the Konica/Minolta AF lenses to function natively on a less expensive body then the A7RIV. Enjoy.-
