The X-T4 is a great hybrid camera. To make the most of it for both stills and video, set 'movie optimized control' to on. This takes the movie shutter speed, aperture, and iso controls off the dedicated dials and onto the front and rear command dials (I put iso into the Q menu, along with the ability to switch between the various slo-mo speeds). The purpose of all this is to completely isolate the camera settings between stills and video.

With this setup, I can set the exposure as desired for stills, then toggle the stills/movie switch to movie and set all my video settings and exposure. Now you can shoot your scene as stills or as video just buy toggling a single switch.
