Last Saturday I went to a place that had this huge wall of rhododendron flowers. There were other flowers to photograph, but I wanted to get pictures of these before they started to fade away. I hope you like these colors. It was mostly sunny with shadows, so it was difficult to get the best photos. But later I had a few small clouds which gave me an opportunity to show them better without the strong contrasts.
Photo No. 1 - I waited until late afternoon for this one, when the few small clouds blocked the sun. This gives you all a better appreciation of this wall of flowers.

Photo No. 2 - This photo shows how the sun blew out the white colors on the right side when I first arrived, so for a long time I avoided them.

Photo No. 3 - But I could get photos like these.

Photo No. 4 - It was convenient to be able to zoom up some of the time with the Canon 18-135mm USM lens.

Photo No. 5 - With the sun coming through, the exposure was good some of the time if I picked the right spots.

Photo No. 6 - Again....

Photo No. 7 - The white flowers were not blown out here.

Photo No. 8 - With so many people in this location, I did not get any closer for some closeups of the rhododendron flowers. I didn't bring the Tamron 150-600mm lens, but maybe it would have been good at this location. Because of COVID-19, I wanted to still stay away from people. I won't be fully vaccinated until late June.

Photo No. 9 - Here's another example of when I had diffused lighting with the sunlight partially blocked, to capture the white colors this way. You can see that the rose plants in front still need a few more weeks before they will start blooming completely.

Photo No. 10 - I walked to the other side of this rhododendron wall and this is what I found. It's near the parking lot. I hope you liked this series of photos.
