I have tried numerous cables/adapters with no success. The Canon DR-E6 appears to have a proprietary end plug.

Isn't it just a +/- power connector? Maybe cut the cable and splice in a connector of your choice?

Hello Ray,

I am learning about electronics and plan to replace the Canon adapter with a standard one. I will post the information when done.

Awesome. Can't wait to see what you come up with. I do some hobbyist electric bike work, and the connectors for me would be Anderson Powerpoles and XT60. Not sure you need that large of connectors for the low power requirement.

Hello Ray,

I have uploaded a YouTube video showing how to replace the adapter on the DR-E6 coupler with a standard 2.1mm x 5.5mm. I also show how to power the R6 and external video recorder via a V-Lock battery.

Replace the proprietary Canon DC Coupler DR-E6 adapter with a standard 2.1mm x 5.5mm adapter. - YouTube

Regards,

Carl.

Nice, and thanks for sharing.
