Macro and Portraits - wait for Z?

My favourite shooting genre is landscapes.

I'd like to get into Macro next and maybe the occasional portaits.

With a Nikon Z7, I await a native macro lens.

I notice many portrait/macro lenses can double up to serve both purposes well.

Also, with really good wide apertures, I challenge myself on do I really need f1.8? My one/only half-serious portrait session captured some good shots on a 70-200mm f4 although I've now traded that in an got the 24-200mm for more versatility when hiking.

Opinions/feedback welcomed on the best route to macro/portraiture.

I had a nifty fifty with my D750 but it never really got the use it deserved.
