I hope I can get over the feeling that the E-M5 iii feels a bit cheap and nasty (even though it definitely isn't that cheap).

It's unfortunate that Olympus used cheap feeling plastic for the E-M5iii body when the previous models were metal. I suspect it was a cost saving decision owing to the dire financial situation of their imaging division at the time.

I like the lighter weight, not that my E-M5 II is heavy. Perhaps silver feels cheap; my black one doesn't. But I generally buy cameras for photography not for fondling. and the E-M5 III is great for photography, equaling or besting the E-M1 II in every way except capture rate.

It is pretty durable. It has survived unblemished drops onto slate and cement that would have sent my E-M5 II to a repair facility.

I get a bit annoyed by all of the haters that pounce on every opportunity to express their disdain based on personal opinions of "feeling" every time anyone ever mentions the E-M5 III.

It's not uncommon for people to get a bit annoyed when someone expresses an opinion that they don't agree with. I prefer the plastic body and leatherette cover used for the E-M10iii, which in my opinion looks and feels better than what's used on the E-M5iii. Some people may disagree with that too.
