Yes, as posted earlier, I have tried it and while the bluetooth connection was solid, all 450+ photos were tagged with the same GPS coordinates of the spot where I connected the camera to the phone. So yes the connection appears good, but the overall performance of the solution is definitely poor. My 5D4 and 7D2 would show the coordinates of every location along the way, the way it's supposed to be. Hopefully this can be resolved, I'd guess it's a software issue.

This is a fascinating thread.  Henry’s question is key to the issue of what is going wrong for some people using the Bluetooth/CameraConnect method. In my view it *must* be an interfacing issue.  We know our phones are capable of continuous, accurate GPS logging.  We know the camera can get GPS data from the phone.  We know that the camera indicates whether or not the BT/GPS signal is being received (the flashing icon).  Therefore the problem is either the app is not sending the correct data, or the camera is not correctly logging the information sent to it.  This should be possible to identify and resolve, either with an app update or a firmware update.  Somebody with the right expertise could easily solve this!
