Display metering mode in viewfinder/LCD

I recently upgraded the firmware on my X-T2 to version 4.40.  I want to display the metering mode (photometry?) in the viewfinder so I don't have to look at the top of the camera when taking a picture to determine the setting.

I went to the SET UP > SCREEN  SET-UP > DISP. CUSTOM SETTING and toggled 'PHOTOMETRY' to 'ON' (checkmark now appears).

However, when I look in the viewfinder or LCD, I don't see anything that would indicate what metering mode my camera is set to (based on photos I've seen thought this should be displayed under the exposure compensation guide).

Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong or how to get this setting to display in the viewfinder or LCD?

ANSWER:
Fujifilm X-T2
