Should I keep original RAW after DxO PureRaw conversion?

Is there a good reason to keep the original RAW file (i.e. the CR3 from my Canon R6) after being converted to a linear DNG via DxO PureRaw?

I understand that these two raw files appear "different" when I view them in Lightroom (that's what makes DxO so great!). However, is there a way to use the linear DNG (output from DxO) and "redo" a raw conversion using Lightroom/ACR (i.e. removing the effects from DxO)?

I thought "raw was raw" and that different raw conversion tools simply define how the pixels are drawn when making an image? I probably need to learn more about RAW conversion in general, but I'm wondering if I need to backup both files -- or if the "same" underlying data is present in both the CR3 and the DNG?

Thanks!
