The thread was intended for those who do not have a leveling base.

Its very important for me to have a level tripod column in the studio. because i have installed 90 deg pins on my vanguard pro tripod to instantly and accurately move from portrait to landscape framing as i shoot thousands of dance images per school and it just saves time in PP levelling up the floor line. I looked at one on ebay last night and might buy one as its always a pain leveling my tripod using the legs as im constantly changing its height as i shoot 4 yo to 20 yo dancers on a roller base that my tripod sits on. $50 seems good.
