Are CFExpress Type A cards treated differently in readers and SDs?
1

For those using CFExpress Type A card (aka Sony a1 et al) - Do they worked differently when you mount them on your computer?

It's showing up as a "local disk" vs a usb disk and you can't eject them w/ right click / eject (on windows 10).  The support guy from ProGrade (who makes the reader I'm using) told me to just pull it out when I'm done and this is the way CF-A cards work but this seems really odd, and potentially dangerous to me.

Additionally, Lightroom thinks it's a local disk and I can't import to my actual C: drive when using this reader.

Is anyone else having this experience w/ either the ProGrade Digital readers of CF-A cards in general? I
