Stabilization can be introduced in body and in lens, yes? It strikes me as odd that there doesn't seem to be external stabilization. Tripods, monopods, and mechanisms for remote shutter release exist, of course, but if they were the end-all-be-all then manufacturers wouldn't have paid to develop the stabilization systems that they already have. I haven't encountered any passive isolation either. Letting one's hands have direct contact with the camera body seems primitive. Do no movement damping polymers or kinetic redirecting meshes exist? Curious.

I hope that I don't come off as impudent. I am genuinely interested in understanding the limits that are present.
