AA filter simulator patents

It looks like Canon applied for a patent that is copying the Pentax anti-aliasing filter simulator (based on sensor vibration) for stills and video. Apparently they want to do super resolution, meaning Pixel Shift or something similar that isn't compatible with having an AA filter over the sensor anymore. https://pdfaiw.uspto.gov/.aiw?Docid=20210136295 (found by Northlight Images).

I wonder how much time Ricoh has for keeping their uniqueness with the features derived from SR. In my opinion they should continue to innovate to differentiate their products further from those of Canon and Nikon that will keep encroaching on IBIS features, after initially investing only in optical IS.
