Its pretty hard to warranty something against water ingress when the lens can be removed.  Lack of warranty for water ingress is mostly about how much user error is the most common cause, as it cant generally be verified in any meaningful way how the ingress occurred, or how often.

Most underwater housings aren't warrantied for the camera, even when designed for 100m, and also need seals replaced or tested regularly, use pressure warning systems etc.  Same for cameras with weather ratings and removable lenses.

As Ive said other times my 100-400mm II survived complete immersion in a saltwater rock pool and still works now years later.  No manufacturer in their right mind would warranty that, but it means something that it did compared to your average consumer lens.
