R6 w/Sigma 150-600 C and EF 2x iii

While out looking at birds yesterday I decided to see how the Sigma did with the 2x iii TC. AF seemed to work fine and I thought results looked good, especially considering they were hand-held at 1200mm and f/13.

1200mm f/13 iso 640 1/200s

1200mm f/13 iso 1250, 1/640s

1200mm f/13 iso 1250 1/320s

And here’s one more with just the 150-600c just for fun

562mm f/8 iso 640 1/2500s

I tried some flight shots of the spoonbills but 1200mm just ended up being way too much focal length.  Even 600mm was a bit long.  I’m really impressed with the R6’s ability to AF with a 3rd party lens with a max aperture of f/13.  There was some hunting with eyeAF but generally it seemed to work pretty well.  Spot AF worked well without much hunting.
