Sigma Art 135mm 1.8 Vs 70-200mm 2.8 Z zoom

Hello All,

The Z zooms seem to be getting glowing reviews in general but the longer Z primes (50mm 85mm) still seem to have the edge over 24-70 2.8, for instance, not to mention the light gathering capabilities.

I need a telephoto lens with more compression than the 85mm 1.8 Z offers but equal or better optical performance WITH reliable AF. Rather than going for the only Z option i.e. 70-200 f2.8 Z I wanted to get the maximum IQ by getting a prime lens instead.

I wonder if anyone has had a chance to compare the new 70-200 2.8 Z zoom against Sigma 135mm 1.8 Art and would be willing to share their impressions or even samples? Manual focus lenses are a no go for me.

Best,

Rob
