Olympus OMD EM-1 with telescope

I would like to use my Em-1 with my Celestron telescope that has a focal length of 450mm,  and a 114mm aperture (mirror). I was reading an article the Olympus web site about photographing the moon and it said that to use your camera with your telescope you needed a T2 M4/3 adapter. I bought the one that was recommended and then tried it with the camera and telescope and all I got was an all grey screen and picture. I tried focusing in and out and still grey, I tried a 2x Barlow tube, same thing. (see picture). The camera was in manual mode.

What am I doing wrong? From what I read it seems simple, just put on the adapter, put it on the telescope and away you go, but this is not what is happening.
