I was offered a low shutter count with some scrapes for a low price.

I read that is slow to buffer. But other than that is it a nice camera to use? Is the IQ of the newer models that much better.

Is the tracking good enough for general wildlife?

Also, will it confirm focus with manual lenses?

I've been doing a lot of photography at the local zoo recently with the D7100 and have been quite satisfied with the results. The image quality is excellent. Most of my zoo photography is at ISO 200 with the lens set at f/8 of subjects that aren't moving that much, so there really isn't a need for the performance features that are offered by the newer more expensive Nikons.
